COOK BOOK & MENU SYSTEM

SCAD GRDS 353 - Professor Micheal Whitney

Objective

Conceptualize a restaurant with a community give back component and design a cookbook and menu system.

Brand

Simba’s *human friendly* Yard is more than a restaurant. It is an outdoor experience where people can enjoy all kinds of meals — brunch, lunch, dinner, treats, and even drinks — with their pets. Simba’s *human friendly* Yard is designed in a way where all food and drinks are divided 50/50, where half are human friendly and the other half are pet friendly, giving all pets that visit the opportunity to enjoy meals as well. 50% of the proceeded from sales will be donated to the Miami Dade Animal Shelter. Alongside that, you can “donate a meal” by buying one of Simba’s menu items for any animal in the shelter to enjoy.

Goal

The overall goal for this project was to conceptualize and design a fun and trendy place in Miami, Florida for people to enjoy with both, their human and animal friends, as well as introduce the community to animals at the Miami Dade Animal Shelter looking for their forever homes.
